We are working on our ecoomics projects. The students can work in groups or by themselves. They must create a product or store, name it, and a reason for their choice. They must decide on the materials needed and the cost of each material. They must decide on the number of employees and calculate their pay for 8 days of work. They must ask the bank (me) for a loan. There is a $10.00 bank fee. They must also choose from the four different types of advertising and decide on what type of overhead such as rent or using their own house. They make money by filling out their agendas and having good behaviors in class. They will be told when their company has made money and may deposit funds. The reverse of these things can bring deductions to the account. They were blessed with a 0% interest rate.
Today is March 1sr. CPA presentations are being presented and after lunch 6th grade is going to the movies. We are still studying economy and will resume economics and how it applies to Latin America next week.
Currently, we are studying Latin America. We are studying economics in Latin America. There are three different types of economies found in the current world: command, market, and mixed. Traditional economy is a type but it isn’t found in the modern world. There are no pure economies in the world but every country is closer to one economy than another. For example, Cuba is closer to a command economy but is considered a mixed economy. Mexico is closer to a market economy but is considered a mixed economy.
